Imperials and Rebels have been "beating" Barr at the library's annual event since 2015. These volunteers from Bluegrass Garrison and Fulcrum Base will impress young and old with their Star Wars saga costumes and accessories.
Families are invited to take pictures with other members of the Empire, the Rebellion, and possibly appearing in galaxies far, far away.
The highlight of the day will be a figure display called Celebrate Love, a collection of vintage Kenner figures and custom Star Wars figures. This event will be the last chance for the public to see the dolls. (Photo courtesy of Barr Memorial Library) View original
The day will also be the last opportunity for visitors to see Celebrate Love, Kenner's collection of vintage and custom Star Wars figurines.

The exhibits currently on display reflect the theme of Return of the Jedi. Some of Kenner's original action figures, vehicles and playsets were made for the famous toy line in the early 1980s. This original comes with a custom statue 'disassembled' in the style the original statue was designed for. Original custom creations feature characters never created by Kenner from the original toyline or variations of Kenner's artwork, including alternate versions of the Emperor and Lando Calrissian.
There's also a custom redesign of the original Kenner Death Star Playset, a version featuring the Emperor's throne room. Exhibits are open during regular library hours.
